Community Partners

Community Partners are area businesses, churches and private foundations that support Hope Alive's mission by making gifts of $1,000 or more in a single fiscal year. More than half of all donations are from our Community Partners. Many constituents mistakenly believe that Hope Alive is primarily supported by government funding, but only 4 percent of our budget comes from government funding sources.

It is the investment of Community Partners that helps keep Hope Alive's programs strong. Working together, we can transform the lives of women and children who are homeless in our community.

Hope Alive was created in response to the needs of homeless women and children and God's call to serve the "least of these brethren of mine." We serve as an arm of the church-extending the church's reach to serve the poor and needy. Partnership opportunities include prayer, volunteer service, in-kind donations, and financial support.

More than 14 percent of our annual operating support is provided by 103-plus churches in and beyond Frederick County. We welcome opportunities to speak with your small groups, congregation and church ministries about the needs of homeless families and ways we can serve together.

More than ten percent of our annual operating support comes from the local business community. By partnering with Hope Alive, businesses large and small can give back to the community and make a positive investment in the lives of homeless families. Opportunities include volunteer service, in-kind donations, and financial support.

Approximately 30 percent of Hope Alive's support comes from private foundations. Through their generosity, foundations achieve philanthropic goals and address one of our community's most critical issues-family homelessness.
